Monisha Bush

Taylor Cook

1:23 PM

I work for a university with campuses across several states. Should the clinic be intended for one specific campus, or can the clinic be utilized across multiple?

Kirsten Liepmann

1:24 PM

@Albert and @Melody, the grant is $1M over 6 years

Kirsten Liepmann

1:26 PM

@Monisha, we are seeking to support academic institutions that are nonprofit or public, but please send me an email to share what your situation is: cybersecurityclinicfund@tides.org

Kirsten Liepmann

1:27 PM

@Taylor we do not have any restrictions around that. We're open to innovation and collaborative ideas and welcome you to submit a proposal that you think would work best for your campuses

Kirsten Liepmann

1:29 PM

@Cheryl, we're committed to working with grantees to make sure they're properly supported, so we'd collaborate to establish how the funds are distributed across the years with each grantee.

Bukola Onashoga

1:31 PM

Hi, I joined not quite long. May I know if one can apply from Africa, West Africa specifically?

Kirsten Liepmann

1:32 PM

Hi Bukola, thank you for your interest and joining us. This fund is restricted to US institutions. However, I encourage you to check out the Consortium's website (https://cybersecurityclinics.org/) where they have many resources as well as international allies that might be great conn

Is there a target number of students to be involved in these clinics?

Kirsten Liepmann

1:39 PM

@Lalitha, we purposely set collective goals for this Fund to make sure we welcome and support institutions of all sizes to apply. We recognize that target setting will align for each institution differently.

Ersin Uzun

1:44 PM

@Dr. J N, we use our advancement office, government and community relations office to advertise to companies and municipal entities in our region. Also, it is something we mention at events and to visitors we host. After the initial momentum, word of mouth and repeat customers create much of the pipeline

@Lalitha, we purposely set collective goals for this Fund to make sure we welcome and support institutions of all sizes to apply. We recognize that target setting will align for each institution differently.
